  1. Step 1: Assemble the wheel into the cover

Gently and gradually push the wheel into the cover. You may lightly squeeze the wheel if needed, but do not squeeze the cover, as the covers are very delicate and may lose their shape.

  2. Step 2: Connect the wheel to the motor shaft

Connect the wheel to the motor shaft.

  3. Step 3: Connect the USB cable and turn the device on

First, connect the USB cable to a power source. Now, turn the device on by selecting one of the motor spin directions, then adjust the speed using the speed knob.

The device must be connected to power while in use and does not include an internal battery.

Important: Use the correct wall adapter.

Make sure to use a compatible wall adapter with exactly 5V and 2A or above, as described in the Device and Accessories Overview section.

  4. Step 4: Apply rosin to the bow cover

Skip this step when using the Tremobow cover, as it does not require rosin.

Gently press the cover against the rosin for about 15 seconds. You should feel the cover lightly grip the rosin as it spins. This may produce a soft squeaky sound.

When you are done, increase the speed and apply no pressure, allowing the cover to spin freely against the rosin. This helps smooth the surface of the cover and remove any rosin chunks.

Apply rosin to the bow cover each time before playing.

  5. Step 5: Clean your strings

Before and after playing, clean your strings with the provided cloth. This helps remove sweat, oil, and dirt from the strings. These can stick to the covers, reduce their grip on the strings, and affect performance.

  6. Step 6: Start playing

Playing the Pickaso Rotary Bow is easy and intuitive. There are two things to keep in mind.

    • Usually, you will get better results when playing near the bridge.
    • To get a cleaner sound, press the string as close as possible to the fret.

Now, gently press the wheel against the strings, and that’s it. You’re ready to play.

🧼 After Use Care

  1. Turn the device off

Turn the device off and do not leave the product connected to power when it is not in use.

  2. Clean the strings

When you are done playing with the bow, use the cleaning cloth to clean the strings if rosin was used.

  3. Store the wheels and covers safely

Store the wheels and covers in a safe place. Do not let them be pressed, as they may become deformed.

FAQ and Troubleshooting

Q The bow covers do not produce any sound. What should I do?

Answer

If you are unable to produce sound, it is usually due to coated strings or lack of rosin.

  • Coated strings: Coated strings, such as Elixir or similar brands, are not suitable for bowing. Use regular uncoated strings only, such as 80/20 bronze, phosphor bronze, or similar uncoated strings.
  • Lack of rosin: Make sure you have applied enough rosin. For the bow effect, gently press the spinning cover against the rosin for a few seconds.

Q The device will not start. What should I do?

Answer

Usually, the main reason the device does not operate is that the speed knob is not set to zero when the device is turned on.

If all 4 LED lights are blinking, this means the safety feature has been activated. Turn the speed knob back to zero, then use the device as usual.

Always start with the speed knob set to zero.

Q Do the bow covers work with all types of strings?

Answer

The Tremobow Picks Cover is designed to perform well with all types of strings.

The bow covers are designed to perform well on regular uncoated strings only.

On coated, nylon, or gut strings, the bow covers may not perform well, or may not work at all.

Q I hear a rattling sound, as if a loose screw or small part is moving freely inside the device when I move it. What should I do?

Answer

We found an issue with some units where users may hear a rattling sound when moving the device, as if a small loose part is moving freely inside the enclosure.

This issue may happen if one of the screws was not tightened enough during assembly. Over time, motor vibration can loosen the screw and cause it to fall inside the device.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. If you are affected by this issue, please watch the video below before attempting the fix.

Rattling Sound Fix Guide
Tools needed:
  • A screwdriver with a PH1 bit.
